Yukito Misaki! little miss confused. As usual, Misaki had followed her daily school schedule. She would show up at school in her horribly dreary uniform, go through her classes without saying a word other than answering questions from her teachers. Then, she would proceed to going home and changing, then go to the mall. As usual. Of course, at least once a month, she would skip school. Claiming that she was sick, which at times Datenshi would voulenteer to back his baby sister up. Today... was one of those days.
Misa didn't like shopping. She really didn't. Maybe it was a little weird. But not at all strange to her. Her brother was thankful for it. They didn't have much money as it was, and it would only be worse if they didn't have anything at all. She didn't do much, and she was perfectly alright with that. Not many friends, no. But that was okay. She was perfectly content with the company of her books, and brother. Of course, Datenshi had been out with his girlfriend a lot more than usual. She could only assume that things were going well. And she wasn't about to ruin that for him. He deserved some happiness.
What was she doing now? Sitting alone on a bench that they had placed inside the mall, legs crossed with her books at her side. Misaki's eyes swept over the page, ignoring the several glances given to her by people. Obviously, they weren't used to seeing one of their own with bright red hair. But, she didn't care. And so, the Yukito girl let herself be spun into her fantasy world.

Skipping school was definitely not foreign to Chang Kazuo by any means. He was, if anything, an expert at it, and today he was practicing his abilities.
That morning, he'd gotten up and gotten dressed in his version of the uniform as always. He'd opted for biker boots instead of the required loafers, as usual, and had put a hachimaki with the rising sun emblem on his head. Jiro, his twin brother, had disapproved, but Kazuo never really regarded Jiro's opinion as important.
The pair had left for school together, but once they were out of sight of the house, Jiro and Kazuo split. Jiro went to school, and Kazuo went to the mall. He didn't want to work today. Not that he ever wanted to work, but especially not today. He decided he would go look at some stuff at the mall, and then probably ride around. But for the moment he would spend some time at the mall.
Nothing much had caught his eye, though, unfortunately. Kazuo found himself bored within an hour or so. It was just the same old thing over and over again -- until he saw her. The girls with hair like that weren't usually found at a mall like this. But Kazuo found them interesting.
He plopped right down next to Misaki, the only thing between them her books. Deciding to be a little bold, he picked up one of them and began to read, curious as to what this girl would say. She seemed cool enough...

Yukito Misaki! little miss confused. Ditching school was nothing new to her at all. No one would wonder where she was. And no one would ask when she came back. After all, she'd go back to her bookish ways. She hadn't realized that Kazuo had come over to her, at least until he picked up one of her books. Misaki didn't mind at all, she simply assumed that he was waiting for someone. But might as well play nice, right? She set her book down, folding the corner of the page before shutting it.
She looked to Kazuo, a small (though still sincere) smile crossing her face. She always looked very pretty. It was a shame that would and could be easily ruined as soon as she opened her mouth. "Hello," Her smile broke into an even bigger grin. "I'm Yukito Misaki." She nodded slowly, seeming almost excited. She always did. At least when she bothered to talk to people. "May I ask who you are?" She inquired, a questioning expression slapped on her face.
Was that a little weird? ...she didn't know.

Kazuo looked up from the book, her book, and let his eyes wander over her once more, as if he was seeing her for the first time. He didn't smile, though he did enjoy her looks. "Chang Kazuo," he introduced himself simply. He nodded his head in a very slight bow, and he closed his book. This had worked perfectly.
"Shouldn't you be in school?" He asked with a straight face, not even bothering to acknowledge that he should be there as well. What did it matter? He was just curious to see what year she was in, and while this didn't exactly get to that, it got them on the right subject.
She had to go to Kishiwada Koukou, just like him. But once he figured out the basics of year and class, he would drop the whole subject of school. He didn't like to associate with it.

Yukito Misaki! little miss confused. "Chang Kazuo.." She repeated, as if registering his name in her mind. School? She raised an eyebrow, almost seeming as if there was no such thing as school. Well, yes she should be in school. But just because she should be, didn't mean that she had to. Datenshi had always been okay with her not showing up all the time. If anything, he would appreciate it if she stayed home and helped out. Of course, he did mind when she got behind on schoolwork. Which, she never did. Most of the time anyway.
"Yeah." She smiled, giggling a little. "It doesn't mean I have to or want to go." Misaki said. Then she looked back at him before crossing her arms. "And shouldn't you be in school?" The redhead said. It was never nice for her to talk about school on her days off. It would only remind her that she had extra work that needed to be done the next day. And she would be forced to ignore the teacher, and stare out the window. Waiting for the bell to ring.
"What year and class are you?" She was curious. She would have to admit.

"Ha," he smiled, nodding at her question back, "Yes, yes I am. But like you, I would rather be out of it." Kazuo shrugged and looked down to the book once more. "You don't wanna be there, but you do want to read a a bunch of books?" He rose an eyebrow in suspicion.
He pushed some of his hair back at her next question. Did he really want to come straight out and say this? He was only a lowly first year. She looked much older. Either way, his attitude wouldn't change, but he didn't know if hers would. He bit his lip a moment and then smiled triumphantly.
"Guess."

Yukito Misaki! little miss confused. She laughed. Of course. Who would want to be stuck in school? That was just boring. Espessially if you had nothing to do other than listen to the teachers drone on and one about.. whatever they were talking about. After a while, she really just stopped caring. She shrugged at his next question. "Yeah. It's a lot better than having to clean my apartment with my brother." She said. Which, was very true. It often led to her collapsing on the ground after scrubbing every inch of the apartment and being dragged to her room by her feet. Never any fun. Seriously.
She pouted at his answer. She never did like guessing games. "Look," Misaki paused, snickering a little. "I'll tell you mine, if you tell me yours."

Kazuo nodded. "I guess I'm lucky that my brother does all the cleaning 'cause he actually likes it. Aside from that, though, he's annoying as hell and more of a goody two-shoes than anyone else I know." He paused, blinking and realizing he was ranting a bit.
"Sorry. Anyway." He rose an eyebrow. "I'm sure mine is more embarrassing, so yours first, nee?" Kazuo's words were rather informal, better used with a close friend than someone he'd just met, but he was always one to speak kind of roughly.
[ uh, sorry this post sucks. ]

Yukito Misaki! little miss confused. {it's fine. (: i've been running low on muse. }
She thought about her own brother. She wasn't totally sure about what he did when she was at school. Usually, he was busy being.. well.. him. He'd keep the apartment spotless, and constantly freak out if something was out of place. Other than cleaning, she wasn't sure what her brother did. But his job must have paid well enough for their apartment rent. Seeing as how, Misaki never worked a day in her life.
She pouted, before agreeing in responce. "Year Two, Class B." The asian woman said quickly, smiling. "Your turn."

Kazuo nodded a bit, thinking about his own brother and what he did. Jiro was an asshole was the conclusion he came to, and then he stopped thinking about the guy. He didn't like to, he didn't want to even be associated with him. Kazuo sighed, shaking his head and then coming back to reality to smile at Yukito. He supposed that wasn't so bad, she could have been a Year 3.
"Alright, brace yourself," Kazuo frowned, rubbing the back of his neck momentarily. He smiled. "Year one, class C," Kazuo said, shaking his head. "Also known as the losers of the school." He nodded. "Or, I guess, depending on who you are, the youngest losers." Kazuo blinked.
